Frame Brand/ Model and Size: Devinci Troy Carbon, Medium
What is your name?
William Blouin-Comeau

How long have you been in the industry?
In and out, since 2014. Did my rounds at the local bike shops in high school and university before working for some other sports brands. Now back in the bike world with Race Face since 2021!
What do you do at Race Face?
Sport Marketing. Alongside working with our sister brands, I head up many of our Race Face key efforts around athletes and ambassadors around the globe. From grassroots development programs to elite World Cup riders, we have an insane roster of great and talented folks, and it is our role as their partners to provide them with support and opportunities as they push the sport further. Keep your eyes out for some fun stories coming this year; it’s going to be a good one.
How often do you ride?
During the winter, I aim for 2 rides a week. Summer between 3-4 if I can sneak them in.
What type of riding do you find yourself doing the most?
Trail/Enduro. With any lap in BC you are pretty much guaranteed to run into some gnar. Most of the trails on the shore provide a good opportunity for a long climb and a descent that makes it worth it so, that is most likely what you will find me doing. I haven’t raced bikes yet, but many of our sponsored riders have been pulling me into it, so maybe an enduro race is in the cards!
What is your favorite local lap?
I am a big Fromme fan. Big lap, good climb, some secret loamer trails and stuff... you know the drill.

Worst mechanical to happen mid-ride?
Losing a frame or shock bolt. Trust me, not fun.
Favorite song right now?
Untouched by the Veronicas
Solo ride or group ride?
Solo but will never say no to a group ride.
Do you actually stretch or just say you will?
I do...50% of the time.
What part of your bike is definitely not okay right now?
Well, it's brand new so everything is working great. My fitness is probably the only “not okay” thing right now.
What’s the one bike trend you’ll never adopt?
PressFit Bottom brackets on MTBs. Give me threaded BB’s every day.
What made you pick/build this bike and the components one it? And Why? Any interesting setup/custom parts/things you are excited about?
Ooff. Big question. I work with many of our friends at different bike brands and I get the chance to try some bikes here and there. Devinci has had a cool story, especially lately with them leaning into their Canadian heritage and that hit home. I was looking for a bike that could handle a lot of different use cases (lighter trail bike to a full enduro rig), and there are not many out there. The Troy ticks all my boxes: 29 or MX options, threaded BB, simple suspension design, nice paint job, no nonsense finishing and access to bolts for maintenance. What more can I ask for?

Currently, it’s built up for my daily riding. Fox 36 paired to a NEO shock for efficiency on the ups and downs. Race Face ERA bars/cranks and custom ARC Carbon wheels for a very solid finishing kit that stands up to the abuse.
Excitement wise, I’ve been running Shimano brakes for 10 years, so I’m very keen on trying these new ones out this season. So far, love em. Special note to the Ochain, I injured ankle in late 2024 and have some challenges in absorbing some hits, these things make the bike feel like it has 20mm more travel in the rear.
