Long story short...Love the pedals, I still think they're overpriced. Can't justify giving five stars honestly.

Me, not the best rider, but I do ride a lot. And I crash fairly frequently, so I always look for durability in components. When I rebuilt my 2012 Cove Gspot last year, I opted for Atlas pedals. In Raceface gear ranging from riding shorts to handlebars, I've been impressed by longevity and performance, plus I aim for BC built gear, and so these pedals were pretty easy to choose. My first big pedal strike crash three weeks ago happened versus a boulder and right away I could feel the pedal was out of round, so I ordered new spindles right away; this didn't fix the problem, so I began to fear the xt crank was bent. Yesterday, I did some deductive work and found, thankfully, the crankset would not have to be replaced, and indeed the pedal platform is bent. So, takeaways from this lesson: Faceface built some very nice performing (weight, feel, predictability is awesome) pedals and if I could afford another set, I would get them. However, because I do crash, it may have been wise to opt for a pedal with a bit more robust construction. Interestingly though, is the potential of a heavier constructed pedal to transfer the pedal strike force into the crank, spindle or bottom bracket, in which case the repair would have been more costly. Just unfortunate the pedal body bent and not the spindle, I wish I could have ridden these bad boys a bit longer....

I have been anxiously waiting for my pedals to arrive and now that I have received and installed them I cringe at the thought of putting my shoes on them. So smooth, so beautiful,a work of art. Worth every penny. 5 stars is not enough.

I've had several different brands of flat pedals on my bike over the years and the RaceFace Atlas pedal is by far my favorite. The look, the feel and the durability are top class. Thank you for making such high quality and reliable products!

Perfect in form, function and appearance. Anyone who thinks the price is high should ask themselves what would I pay for a Rembrandt, picasso or Michelangelo. Because as those are works of art so are these pedals, worth every penny.
